DIRECTIONS
The Barton County Fair Complex is located on Hwy 56 about 2 miles west of Great Bend right next to the Barton County Airport.  There will be signs and it will be well-marked.
If you are coming down from the north or east, we recommend you come off I-70 at the Ellsworth exit on Hwy 156 to east of Great Bend where you will then exit onto Hwy 56 going west.
If you are driving on I-35 from the east, we drive straight west at Emporia on Hwy 50 (a little construction at the I-35 exit by the Flying J but that should be all) which then has a short Hwy 150 spur across the beautiful Flint Hills until you run into Hwy 56 just before Marion and keep heading west.
If you take this route, there are few true bathroom stops.  Places to stop include
Emporia at the Flying J, Strong City
(both of those usually have good prices on fuel)
then no place until McPherson or Great Bend.
From the south (135) you will head west on Hwy 56 at McPherson.
From the west, exit I-70 at Russell where you will head south off the exit on Hwy 281, through Hoisington and south until you reach Great Bend and will intersect with Hwy 56.
